Raised in the North and transplanted in the South, it's fair to say that I bring a different perspective to my adopted town of Quitman, GA.

I took up photography in a successful bid to avoid AP Trigonometry in high school. (I mean, who wouldn't at least try to avoid Math?!)

I had no idea that I'd fall in love with light and shadow, but I did. And, I got to indulge my curiosity about everything and everyone in front of my lens.

Fast forward through a marriage, four children, a divorce, and a relocation...and I discovered that I had no idea who I was as an individual, or what I wanted to do from here on out.

I remembered that I loved connecting with the world through my lens, so I picked up a digital camera and began photographing again.

The more I photographed, the more I felt the need to tell people's stories through portraiture.

I took the plunge. I opened for business in 2012, and moved into my current studio in 2018. It's been a joy ride ever since.
