What I Can Do...

Last Spring, I found two abandoned puppies in my backyard. I took them to the vet, rehabbed them, began basic canine citizenship training, and fell in love with them. 

Then, I realized that I wasn’t capable of providing either one of them, let alone both of them, a forever home.

Fortunately for me and for the puppies, there are organizations and people who can do what I could not. The Lowndes County Humane Society is one (they helped find forever homes for my “babies”).  BARC Humane Society Inc is another.

I’m a firm believer in giving back. I may not be able to foster or provide forever homes to stray critters, but I can use my artistry as a photographer to help these organizations to do their work.

·         I’m in the process of working with the Lowndes County Humane Society to figure out what I can do to help raise funds for them.

·         I’ve donated a $300 Gift Certificate to the 2^nd Annual B.A.R.C. Ball’s Silent Auction to be held this Saturday, October 3^rd.

If you’ve been thinking about having portraits made of your loved ones (both two-legged and four-legged), this is your call to action! You can get a head start on something that you’ve wanted to do and help out a wonderful organization at the same time. What’s not to love about that?!
